SCO diplomats meet on Afghanistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held a high-level meeting in Moscow, Russia, on Wednesday to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan.
Senior diplomats from the SCO member states reached a broad consensus on problems in the country such as terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime, according to officials present at the meeting.
Founded in 2001, the SCO, a regional organization that groups China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, aims to enhance security, trade, cultural, military and judicial cooperation among its members.
