Uzbekistan and Belarus sign agreement on cooperation in higher education
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Education of Belarus and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on cooperation in higher education in Tashkent on 12 September.
Within the framework of the document, the parties will promote the development of cooperation in the field of higher education and, for this purpose, encourage contacts between higher educational institutions.
There is a positive dynamics in attracting citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus for training. In the 2017/2018 academic year, the number of Uzbek citizens studying in Belarus reached 87 people.
In September 2018, the Days of Belarusian Education in the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held, during which the opening of the Belarusian-Uzbek Center for Education and Culture will be held on the basis of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami.
It is expected that agreements will be signed between the leading universities of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
