K-Data donates software for US$500,000 to IUT

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Korea Data Agency (K-Data) donated software for monitoring and analysis of databases worth about US$500,000 to Inha University in Tashkent.

A delegation of K-Data led by General Manager Junghyun Lee paid a visit to Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) on 25 July 2018.

Within the visit, K-Data representatives donated to administration of IUT licenses for software for monitoring and analysis of database, produced by Wise Intelligence and Exem.

The donated software of the South Korean companies will be used for educational purpose to train data specialists.

During the meeting, IUT First Vice Rector Woosug Cho and General Manager of K-Data Junghyun Lee signed a memorandum of understanding.

In line with the document, the sides intend to develop human resources and enchance skills of students and researchers in the area of data.

At the same time, IUT and K-Data are planning to carry out joint researches and projects in the area of data, including in such areas as open data, data analysis, data management, data quality, etc.

One of the directions of cooperation will become organization of various conference, symposiums, workshops and other events to exchange knowledge, experience and information in the area of data.

During the visit to the university, representatives of K-Data familiarized themselves with academic processes at IUT.

They also received opportunity to familiarize themselves with conditions, created for students and professors of IUT.

Korea Data Agency is a state organization responsible for enhancing competitiveness of the data industry, supporting and promoting the creation of a new business directions based on data. The agency also provide start-up incubation service.

The agency also provides various data-related software to the universities within its Data Solution Programme. K-Data also offers services on certification of data specialists.
