LUKOIL intends to increase gas production in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russian company LUKOIL plans to increase gas production in Uzbekistan to 19 billion cubic meters a year in 2019. This was stated by the head of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Vagit Alekperov noted that the company launched a flagship field in the first half of the year in the territory of Uzbekistan (Kandym).
He said that today LUKOIL is the largest investor of the Republic of Uzbekistan. “Next year we will produce 19 billion cubic meters of gas,” he said.
In 2017, LUKOIL produced 9.09 billion cubic meters of gas in Uzbekistan.
Gas production in 2018 could grow by more than 60% compared to last year’s figure and reach 14.6 billion cubic meters.
