Uzbekistan Airways and State Tourism Committee discuss ziyorat tourism development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- A meeting of officials of the Uzbekistan Airways and the State Committee for Tourism Development was held at on 26 June.

The meeting was also attended by tour operators directly involved in attracting tourists on ziyorat-tourism (pilgrimage tourism) program.

During the negotiations, the concept of further development of ziyorat-tourism (pilgrimage tourism) in Uzbekistan, the role of the national air carrier in this issue, as well as possibility of opening regular flights along Tashkent – Jeddah – Tashkent route was discussed.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on working out the issue of entering NAC regular flights on Tashkent – Jeddah – Tashkent route once a week during the winter navigation period 2018-2019.

Flights on comfortable Boeing 767, 787 Dreamliner airliners will be planned taking into account convenient connections with Tashkent – Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent flights for transportation of tourists from Southeast Asian countries to Uzbekistan on pilgrimage tourism program.
