The summer school "Management of creative industry" opened in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 June 2018, a summer school "Management of the Creative Industry" was opened in Tashkent.

The organizers of the summer school were International Westminster University in Tashkent (WIUT) and the Foundation for Development of Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Summer School is a project, aimed at forming the foundations of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of creative industry.

The program includes economic, organizational and professional aspects of the management of cultural institutions and other areas of the creative industry and covers such issues as marketing in art, management of museums, theaters, the film industry, and management in the field of tourism.

The summer school will be attended by students of the WIUT, the State Institute of Arts and Culture of Uzbekistan, and the Tashkent State Economic University, which have passed the competitive selection.

The summer school program "Management of the creative industry" was created with the participation of the Museum of Modern Art "Garage" (Moscow). Among the lecturers of the school are the director of the Museum Anton Belov, the director for development, marketing and advertising Daria Kotova, deputy director for reconstruction and development projects Anna Trapkova, curator Ekaterina Lazareva, curator Alesia Veremyeva, coordinator of public relations department Alena Solovieva.

Courses in the summer school will be read not only by university lecturers, but also by invited specialists, entrepreneurs, cultural workers and artists who can share their experience with students.

Within the framework of the summer school, on the basis of the Focus School of Arts, a master class will be organized by the honored art worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan, film director Zulfikar Musakov and presentation of the volunteer program.

The goal of the program is development and support of volunteer initiatives that contribute to increasing the social activity of youth, the formation of spiritual and moral values, the acquisition of professional skills in the management of creative industries.

In particular, the program will familiarize the audience with the concept of creative entrepreneurship, modern models of development and functioning of museums. The course will focus on the basics of management in the field of culture and art and their positioning in a broad public context.

Also, emphasis will be placed on the professional duties of the manager of the creative industry - interaction with market participants, assessment of risks and opportunities, as well as marketing strategies that promote the market and attract resources.

Training in the summer school "Management of the creative industry" is conducted on a free basis. Following the results of the course, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.

The Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in October 2017 with the goal of state support and further development of national culture and art in Uzbekistan, as well as expansion of international and interstate cultural ties.
