UZSE records deals for 33.4 billion soums in May

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) made up 33.4 billion soums in May, which is 12.2 times higher compared to May 2017 (2.7 billion soums).

The largest transaction was concluded on 18 May as a result of which 5.26 million shares of Kapitalbank were sold for a total of 4.99 billion soums. The selling price of shares was equal to their face value - 950 soums. At the end of five months, the volume of trading in shares of the bank exceeded 30.6 billion soums and the bank holds the first place in this indicator.

The average daily turnover of securities in May amounted to 1.5 billion soums, while the average transaction amounted to 63.3 million soums. At the same time, the average selling price per share was 231.4 soums.

Leader in terms of the number of concluded deals in the reporting period was Kvarts. The company’s shares participated in 218 transactions, 45.6 thousand shares of which were sold (217.3 million soums) on the secondary market of the UZSE.

The highest price per share in May was fell to the deal with shares of Toshkentvino kombinati - securities of this company were sold on the secondary market at a price of 90,000 soums per share. The nominal value of each share is 4,000 soums.

In May 2018, about 87.5% deals were concluded with the shares of the commercial banks.
