Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent condolences to the Chairman of the State Council and Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel, in connection with numerous casualties caused by the crash of a passenger aircraft near Havana.
“In this sorrow day for the Cuban people, I ask you to accept the frank condolences and convey the words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of the deceased, as well as the wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured people,” the message of the Uzbek President reads.
More than 100 people have died after a Boeing 737 airliner crashed near Cuba’s main airport in Havana, the country’s worst air disaster in decades. Three women were pulled alive from the wreckage, but are said to be in a critical condition.
