Gross gold and foreign currency reserves of Uzbekistan reach about US$28.35bn

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gross gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan as of 1 May 2018 made up US$28.35 billion against US$28.494 billion as of 1 April 2018.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, assets in foreign currency exceeded US$14.415 billion as of 1 May 2018, which is US$102 million less compared to 1 April 2018.

The volume of monetary gold in the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan decreased from US$13.976 billion as of 1 April 2018 to US$13.936 billion as of 1 May 2018.

Net gold and foreign currency reserves grew from US$27.086 billion as of 1 April 2018 to US$23.083 billion as of 1 May.

The Central Bank said that the net gold and foreign exchange reserves do not take into account the currency funds of commercial banks and government bodies (except the Ministry of Finance, the Reconstruction and Development Fund) on accounts at the Central Bank, which are liabilities of the Central Bank to these organizations
