Victims of gas explosion in Kyrgyzstan return to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 February, citizens of Uzbekistan, who suffered from a gas explosion in the city of Kochkor-Ata in Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan, returned to their homeland, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan said.
On 20 February, an outbreak of natural gas occurred in the private cafe Asia in the town of Kochkor Ata, as a result of which four citizens were injured, three of them citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The citizens of Uzbekistan were hospitalized. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified the identity of citizens and their residence in Uzbekistan and informed about the incident of their close relatives.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations together with the Ministry of Health and the Khokimiyat of Namangan region worked out issue of safe transportation of citizens to the Republic of Uzbekistan taking into account their current status.
The victims on the ambulances of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan were transported from the Kyrgyz Republic and hospitalized to medical institutions of Andijan and Namangan regions.
