Uzbekistan‘s industrial output hits 14.5 trln. soums in Jan
The main growth factor in the total volume of industrial production was the growth in manufacturing in the manufacturing industry by 9.3% (contribution to the increase in total industrial production of 7.1 points), mining and quarrying by 33.4% (contribution to growth of 4.9 points), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 9% (contribution to the increase of 0.7 points) and water supply, sewerage, waste management by 23.8% (contribution in increase of 0.2 points).
The volume of products, produced by mining enterprises and quarrying amounted to 2.5 trillion soums or 17.1% of the total industry. In the mining industry by types of products produced compared with the corresponding period last year, there is an increase in mining of crushed stone by 2.7 times, kaolin by 2.2 times, gravel by 83.5%, gas condensate by 27.4%, coal by 21.5% and natural gas by 7.1%, while oil production is down by 8.2%.
The volume of output produced by manufacturing enterprises in January 2018 reached 10.6 trillion soums or 73.2% of the total industry. In this industry compared with the same period last year, increased production of cars (without specialized) by 60.6%, automobile engines by 58.2%, beer by 15. 8%, motor gasoline by 15.4%, tobacco products by 13.9% cotton fiber on 0.8%, and manufacture of lorries, diesel fuel, portland cement, vodka, vegetable oil and buses decreased in comparison with the corresponding period of the last year.
The volume of products produced by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises amounted to 1.3 trillion soums (8.8% of the total industry). In this industry, in January 2018, compared with the same period last year, the production of electricity distribution services increased 2.4 times, services for the supply of chilled air and chilled water by 26.3%, electricity by 6.4%, services for distribution of gaseous fuel through pipelines by 6.3%, and heat energy decreased by 4%.
The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises amounted to 122.5 billion soums (0.9% of the total volume of industry). In comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year, there has been an increase in recyclables containing aluminum by 54.5%, recyclables containing ferrous metals by 38.5%, services for removal, transportation of waste water and processing thereof by 20.3%, processing services and distribution of water through water pipes by 11.8%
As a result of the measures taken to expand the assortment and stimulate the output of finished goods, the production of consumer goods made up 4,4 trillion soums and, as compared to January 2017, increased by 7.1%, the share in the total volume of industry was 30.5%.
In comparison with January 2017, in the structure of consumer goods in January 2018 an increase in the share of production of non-food products from 55.7% to 61.3% was noted.
The largest share in the structure of output of industrial output of the republic is in the Tashkent region (16.5% of the republican industry), Tashkent (14.7%), Navoi (12.1%), Andijan (9.8%), Kashkadarya (7.5%), Ferghana (6.5%) regions.
At the same time, the lowest share falls on Jizzakh (1.4%), Surkhandarya (1.6%), Syrdarya (2.2%), Namangan (2.3%) and Khorezm (2.8%) regions. It should be noted that the implementation of high-tech projects for the production of competitive products contributed to a significant increase in production in Surkhandarya (+41.3% compared to January 2017), Andijan (+40.2%), Khorezm (+28.4%), Tashkent (+13%) and Kashkadarya (+11,5%) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+9.9%).
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial production per capita shows the excess of the average republican indicator (446,200 soums) in Navoi region (1.84 million soums), Tashkent (866,100 soums), Tashkent (838,000 soums) and Andijan (475,000 soums) regions.
Dynamic development of industrial activity of small business entities ensured the growth of industrial production by the corresponding period of the previous year by 2.2%, while the share of small business in industry was 28.7%.
In terms of regions, the largest share of small business is observed in Tashkent (71.9% of the total volume of industry), Namangan (59.4%), Samarkand (52.9%) and Jizzakh (48.8%). At the same time, the smallest share of small business is observed in Navoi region (10.9%), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (11.5%), Tashkent (16.3%) and Kashkadarya (16.8%) regions.
During January of this year, a new 1,100 industrial enterprises, of which about 70% are located in Tashkent, Ferghana, Tashkent, Andijan, Namangan and Samarkand regions.
