Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 January 2018, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov took part in a meeting of foreign ministers of the five Central Asian countries and the United States of America in New York, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Kairat Abdrakhmanov, the Kyrgyz Republic - Erlan Abdyldaev, the Republic of Tajikistan - Sirodjidin Aslov, the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Aksoltan Atayeva and the Deputy Secretary of State of the USA John Sullivan also took part in the “C5 + 1” format.
An exchange of views took place on prospects for development of multilateral cooperation in various fields, implementation of joint projects aimed at strengthening cooperation.
The sides also discussed topical issues of strengthening regional security, confronting modern challenges and threats.
