Japanese-Uzbek film on tourism to be created

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As previously reported, a film crew of Japanese filmmaker Kiyoshi Kurosawa visited Uzbekistan to create a feature film about the country, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism siad.

Negotiations, started during the stay of the Chairman of the State Tourism Committee Aziz Abdukhakimov to Japan within the framework of the JATA EXPO-2017 exhibition, resulted in an agreement on cooperation with the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan.

Recently, the Ministry of Culture of Japan officially confirmed its support for shooting the film and approved the script. The indirect objective of the film is promotion of tourism in Uzbekistan.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa is an independent film director, screenwriter, actor, writer, film critic. He works in the genres of horror, drama, thriller, detective. He is author of more than 40 films. He holds several awards at the Cannes Film Festival and the Asian Film Academy.
