Farhad Ibrahimov becomes director of Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center
Farhad Ibragimov became a new director of Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center. Prior to this appointment, he worked as the director of the State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Introduction and Development of Computerization and Geoinformation Technology” of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Land Resources, Geodesy, Cartography and State Cadastre.
First Deputy minister for development of information technologies and communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Umarov presented new head of the Center to the staff on 30 November 2017.
Olimjon Umarov stated that Farhad Ibrahimov will be responsible for developing cooperation with the private sector.
One of the main tasks of the new director will be the development of information technology industry by improving the business climate, as well as increasing the export of the IT industry.
Khurshid Sultanov, who previously headed the Innovation Center, will continue to work in the Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center. He will be responsible for the Center’s cooperation with educational institutions.
