Gasoline prices hike in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prices for gasoline hiked in Uzbekistan from 15 November 2017. The prices for gasoline rose from 35.7% to 72.6%, depending on the type of gasoline.
The cost of a liter of AI-80 gasoline increased from 2,800 to 3,800 soums (growth - 35.7%) and AI-91 from 3000 to 4,300 soums (+ 43.3%).
Prices for diesel fuel increased by 72.6% to 4100 soums and diesel fuel ECO - by 71% to 4,200 soums.
The new prices were approved by the resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan “On Additional Measures for Timely Provision of Fuel and Energy Resources” from 14 November 2017.
The document said that gasoline of Ai-92, -93, -95 and -98 types and diesel fuel, corresponding to European quality and standards, imported and received from processing of imported (giveaway) raw materials, are sold at free commercial prices through filling stations. The list of these filling stations is determined by the government.
The decree also said that from 1 April 2018, price for natural gas will grow by 12% and for electricity – by 10%.
