Individual entrepreneurs receive right to purchase foreign currency

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan approved a regulation on the procedure for commercial banks to perform currency exchange operations for individuals.

Individual entrepreneurs without the formation of a legal entity have the right to purchase foreign currency from their accounts in the divisions of conversion operations of commercial banks.

The document underlined that exchange offices of commercial banks will purchase foreign currency from international plastic cards.

Exchange points will require the provision of an identity card (for non-residents - a passport) if the amount exchanged currency is equal to or exceeds 500 sizes of the minimum wage.

The document notes that exchange offices can perform operations to exchange the currency of one state for the cash currency of another state.
