Uzbek Leasing gets US$2m credit of Malaysian bank

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek Leasing International A.O. and Maybank of Malaysia signed a credit agreement for US$2 million on Monday, 17 November, the Uzbek company said in a statement.
The company said Maybank issued the credit for five years. The funds will be directed to finance leasing projects of small businesses of Uzbekistan, operating in various sectors of the economy.
Uzbek Leasing International A.O. was founded on 5 January 1995 and it specializes on leasing services. The charter capital of the bank is US$6 million.
National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NBU) and Maybank hold 35% shares each in Uzbek Leasing International A.O., European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and International Finance Corporation possess 15% each.
