Obod excluded from Uzbekistan’s Oliy Liga

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Executive Committee of the Professional Football League (PFL) excluded Tashkent-based Obod from Uzbekistan Football League – Oliy Liga.

According to the PFL, the club was excluded from the championship for debts before the PFL in the amount of 120 million soums. Also, the club did not provide licensing and financial documents.

The Football Federation of Uzbekistan received letters from the international non-profit federation Federbet about suspicious results in the matches of the 20th round between Obod and Sogdiana (2-4) and the match of the 22nd round between Obod and Nasaf (0: 6), the PFL said in a statement.

The PFL said that in all remaining matches of the Oliy Liga, Obod will receive technical loss, while its opponents will receive technical wins.

After Day 23, Obod won 9 points in the league and holds the last place in the standings.
