Speaker of Legislative Chamber receives Ambassador of Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Speaker of the Legislative Chamber Nurdinjon Ismailov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Nobuaki Ito.
During the meeting, Nurdinjon Ismailov informed the Ambassador of Japan on ongoing reforms in accordance with the Strategy of Action on five priority development directions of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 and the activities of the Legislative Chamber, new approaches in organizing the work of the deputy corps with voters to study the real situation on the ground.
Ambassador Nobuaki Ito noted that Japan is for further strengthening friendly relations with Uzbekistan. The Japanese political circles highly appreciate the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on further qualitative reform of the country on the basis of a thoroughly worked out complex document - the Strategy of Action.
He stressed that Japan stands for increasing cooperation with Uzbekistan and is ready to support and assist in carrying out reforms in various spheres of the life of the state and society, the press service of the Legislative Chamber said.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for development of inter-parliamentary relations, as well as the preparation and holding of the second interparliamentary forum “Uzbekistan-Japan”.
