UZSE turnover makes up 33 billion soums in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- Turnover of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) made up 33 billion soums in January-June 2017 against 119.7 billion soums in the same period of 2016.

The exchange said that number of deals, registered at UZSE, reached 1,351. The deals were conducted 1.064 billion shares of 72 joint stock companies.

During the reporting period, 1,242 deals worth 29.5 billion soums were registered in the main section of the exchange.

Another 102 transactions worth 0.07 billion soums were carried out in the section on transactions for individuals without clearing. One transaction worth 0.2 billion soums was registered in the negotiation auction mode.

The exchange underlined that three deals for US$46,200 or 0.2 billion soums at the exchange rate of the Central Bank was recorded in the foreign currency platform. Two deals for 0.09 billion soums were recorded in bond market.

In the section on the sale of blocks of shares (block-trading) one transaction was registered for 3.1 billion soums.

According to the Exchange, about 59% of exchange turnover or 10 billion soums fell to deals with the securities of commercial banks.

Share of the agro-industrial complex in total turnover in the reporting period made up 11.8% or 3.9 billion soums, industrial sector - 0.6% in the turnover of the exchange or 0.2 billion soums and construction enterprises - 4.3%, or 1.4 billion soums.
