Uzbek Health Minister presents ongoing reforms in Geneva

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Healthcare of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov made a report at the 70th session of the World Health Assembly.
Uzbek minister noted that Uzbekistan approved Sustainable Development Goals in 2015 along with other states. He said that one of the goals is to improve healthy lifestyle of people.
It covers such priority areas of healthcare, including protection of reproductive health, mother and children health, fighting infectious and non-infectious diseases, etc. He said that Uzbekistan adopted global goal No 3 without any changes.
Alisher Shadmatov also briefed about ongoing reforms in the healthcare sector. Uzbekistan plans to decrease motherhood and children mortality, infectious and virus diseases, etc.
He said that Uzbekistan adopts normative documents directed at further improving primary and emergency medical aid, special medical services and provision of medicaments.
