UZEX records deals for 3.3 trln. soums in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) recorded deals for 3.3 trillion soums in the first quarter of 2017, which rose by 26.6% year-on-year.

The exchange said the volume of exchange trade increased by 27.3% and reached 2.6 trillion soums.

The volume of exhibition and fair transactions in January-March made up 413.9 billion soums, which is 23.4% higher compared to the same period in 2016.

Hard currency platform of the exchange and exhibition-fair trades, domestic products for US$19.5 million were exported, which is 40.2% more than in the first quarter of last year.

The volume of public procurement (D-xarid) grew by 28.3% - to 113.6 billion soums. Savings of budget funds increased by 37.1% and reached 30.1 billion soums.

The volume of corporate purchases (E-xarid) increased by 21.6%, amounting to 117.6 billion soums. At the same time, 29.7 billion soums of financial resources were saved, which is 13.2% more than in the first quarter of the previous year.
