Uzbek-Chinese business forum takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Uzbek-Chinese business forum and bilateral meetings of business circles of two states is taking place in Tashkent on 19-21 April 2017.

Chinese delegation includes representatives of large companies and firms, operating in metallurgy, mining, energy, construction infrastructure, transport, telecommunication, environment and others.

The Uzbek side is represented by officials of the ministries and departments, as well as enterprises. The meeting is a part of preparation to upcoming visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China.

During the business-forum, the sides considered establishing partnership in various spheres of economy, developing realizing of new investment projects, parameters and sources of financing of perspective directions of cooperation.

Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China made up over US$4.7 billion in 2016. In the first quarter of 2017, the figure exceeded US$1.2 billion.

Currently, 704 enterprises with the Chinese capital work in Uzbekistan, including 88 with 100% Chinese investments. About 73 Chinese companies accredited their offices in Uzbekistan.
