Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan sign agreement on cooperation in tourism sphere
The document was signed within the International Uzbek Tourism Exhibition “World of Leisure 2017” in Tashkent.
Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in this exhibition. For the first time at the exhibition the national pavilion of Kazakhstan was presented.
Chairperson of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on developing tourism Anvar Sharapov and Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly held negotiations in Tashkent.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to cooperation between two nations in tourism sector.
stanbek Mukhamediuly said that two new checkpoints will be opened at the Uzbek-Kazakh border and three existing checkpoints will work 24 hours a day.
Developing transport communication – opening new railway and bus routes, as well as increasing flights between Tashkent and Almaty will also increase tourists flow, the sides noted.
The parties discussed the possibility of further development of combined tours along the Silk Road with the participation of the two countries.
Cooperation in the field of tourism contributes not only to strengthening economic relations, but also to the development of cooperation in the cultural, social and environmental spheres of the two countries, said Arystanbek Mukhamediuly.
Minister of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly also held talks with the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Mahmud Muratov.
The ministers discussed a wide range of issues related to cooperation in the field of theater, cinema and cultural heritage.
The delegation of Kazakhstan also met with the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan Rustam Kurbanov. The sides exchanged views on the development of cooperation in the field of sports.
