CCIs of Samarkand regions and Bashkortostan sign agreement

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Samarkand region and Bashkortostan signed an agreement of cooperation.
The document was signed in Ufa on 16 March during official visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan in Bashkortostan, Bashinform reported.
Minister of Economic Development of Bashkortostan Sergey Novikov said that Uzbekistan was and is important partners for Bashkortostan. He said that the volume of trade turnover between two states makes up almost US$70 million now.
He said that the countries have great potential. He said that the sides should outline concrete actions to boost trade-economic turnover. He expressed hope that businesses from Uzbekistan will actively work in Bashkortostan.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov underlined that Bashkortostan plays an important role in the Uzbek-Russian relations, taking into account its economic, industrial-technological and scientific potential of the country, as well as close cultural and humanitarian relations.
During the meeting, Samarkand region and Bashkortostan presented trade, economic and investment potentials.
The parties discussed prospects for business cooperation and opportunities for implementing mutually beneficial projects.
