Eurocement to build three plants in Uzbekistan - report

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Eurocement will construct three plants on production of construction materials in Uzbekistan.
Russian media reported that governor of Tashkent region Shukrulla Babaev announced this during negotiations of the governor of Saint Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.
According to Shukrulla Babaev, the cost of these projects is about US$330 million. In recent days, the memorandum of cooperation will be signed.
Eurocement owns Akhangarancement in Uzbekistan. Currently, the company started to construct new cement plant with the capacity of 2.4 million tonnes of cement a year. After the launch of the plant, Akhangarancement will produce over 4 million tonnes of cement a year.
