UZEX’s trade turnover hits 1.08 trillion soums in February

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) registered deals for 1.08 trillion soums in February, which rose by 19% compared to the same month of 2016.

The exchange trades volume made up 873.5 billion soums in February 2017, rising by 22.7% year-on-year.

The hard currency platform of the exchange recorded export deals for US$8 million, which grew by 51.7%. About 63% of the export deals fell to share of polyethylene.

During the period, the volume of fair trades reached 125.4 billion soums. The largest deals at the fair trades were recorded with chemical products, construction materials, equipment and spare parts.

The public procurement platform recorded deals for 38.9 billion soums with the growth rate of 24.3% year-on-year. This helped to save budget resources for 10.2 billion soums in February 2017 against 7.6 billion soums in February 2016.

The corporate procurement platform conducted deals for 39.3 billion soums. The growth rate made up 17.8% year-on-year.
