Revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan falls by 6.7% in 2016

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Revenue of Beeline in Uzbekistan fell by 6.7% year-on-year in 2016– to US$663 million, Vimpelcom Ltd said in its statement.
At the same time, the operator’s revenue fell by 9.8% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2016 and made up US$165 million.
The revenue in mobile communication segment made up US$659 million in 2016 against US$706 million in 2015 (-6.66%).
The revenue from data transfer in the reporting made up US$128 million, which fell by 5.88% compared to 2015.
EBITDA (Operating Income before Depreciation and Amortization) in Uzbekistan made up US$395 million in 2016, which fell by 9.6% compared to 2015.
At the same time margin of transactions fell by 1.9 percentage points to 59.6% in January-December of 2016.
Beeline subscribers’ base in Uzbekistan by the end of 2016 made up 9.5 million people, which decreased by 4.1% year-on-year. Number of users of data transfer services fell by 2% to 4.5 million subscribers in 2016.
Average bill for a mobile subscriber per month (ARPU) made up US$5.7 in 2016, which decreased by 5.26% year-on-year.
Indicator MOU (minutes of use) reached 554 minutes in 2016 compared with 501 minutes in the same period of 2015 (+10.6%).
