First technical interns from Uzbekistan head to Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Fourteen citizens of Uzbekistan received right to undergo technical internship in Japan.

On 16 February 2017, the Minister of Labour of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov handed over a package of permission documents to the interns.

Within the Programme of technical preparing interns, the citizens of Uzbekistan will work in the Japanese companies and learn Japanese technologies. After internship, they will return to Uzbekistan and contribute to development of economy of Uzbekistan.

The internship of the citizens of Uzbekistan is conducted in line with the memorandum of understanding between Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of population of Uzbekistan (now Ministry of Labour of Uzbekistan) and Japan International Training Cooperation Organization (JITCO) on cooperation on programme of technical training of interns from Uzbekistan in Japan from 28 May 2012, as well as the agreement on programme of technical training of interns between the Agency for issues of external labour migration and Association Chuo Sangyo Shinko from 26 June 2015.

During the ceremony, the Minister of Labour of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov noted that Center for training of interns will be opened in Tashkent.

The center will hold Japanese language trainings and adaptation courses and work in Japan. It is planned to attract JICA volunteers to ensure efficient work of the Center.
