Uzbekistan and Russia to settle labour migration issues
On 15 February, the Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation held a session in Tashkent.
In the final protocol, the countries adopted decision to boost negotiation process in the sphere of settling issues of temporary labour migration.
The Intergovernmental Commission ordered Ministry of Interior Affairs of Russia and Ministry of Labour of Uzbekistan to agree a draft agreement of the Governments of Uzbekistan and Russia on organization of selection of citizens of Uzbekistan for temporary labour in Russia.
Ministries of Interior Affairs of Russia and Uzbekistan will agree an agreement in the sphere of labour migration, which will regulate mutual establishment of competent bodies. These bodies will regulate and control labour migration.
