Eurocement Group to construct new cement line at Akhangarancement

Tashkent, Uzbekistan ( -- Eurocement Group will build a new cement plant on the base of Akhangarancement in Uzbekistan, Vice President of Russian holding on economic and production Sergey Marchenko said.

He said that the company announced a tender to determine the contractor for the engineering of the project and the world’s leading companies have been invited to take part in it.

According to him, the Russian company plans to complete the project by 2020.

Eurocement Group and Uzstroymaterialy signed a protocol on construction of the new line in the result of the session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, which was held in Tashkent on 15 February 2017.

The Russian company has confirmed its participation in the project . The new plant will produce cement by “dry” method. The plant’s capacity will be 2.4 million tonnes a year.
