Uzbekistan and Netherlands sign protocol to Convention on avoiding double taxation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and the Netherlands signed a protocol on introduction of changes to the intergovernmental Convention on avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion on income and capital from 18 October 2001.
The document was signed in The Hague within the framework of the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the chairman of the State Tax Committee Botir Parpiev to the Netherlands.
The protocol introduces new regulations to the agreement, which meet international standards of tax transparency.
A presentation of economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan was held in Zoetermeer. The event also presented information on tax preferences, offered to foreign investors.
The Dutch businesses also received information on preferences and investment projects for US$1 billion, which will be implemented in special economic zones in Uzbekistan in 2017-2019.
