Uzbekistan, South Korea discuss cooperation in tourism

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on development of tourism Anvar Sharapov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea to Uzbekistan Kwon Yongwoo.

During the meeting, the delegation of South Korea received information on rich historic and cultural heritage, as well as measures on developing tourism sector and improving tourism infrastructure.

The sides discussed issues of developing of cooperation in tourism sector, as well as participation of South Korean investors in construction of hotel and other objects of tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan.

The Korean side expressed readiness to cooperation in achieving close and constructive cooperation between two states in tourism sector.

Anvar Sharapov invited South Korean companies to participate in International Uzbek Tourism Fair in April 2017. Organization of B2B meetings and study tours was also proposed.

The Korean side said that it is ready to invite South Korean business circles to participate in the exhibition.

The sides agreed to develop concrete proposals on further strengthening partnership relations in the tourism sphere between two nations, including attracting investments to tourism and hotel business, as well as training of specialists.
