Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan pays great attention to support farmers and dekhkans, further diversification and modernization of agriculture with the participation of a class of rural proprietors. In this regard, UzLiDeP actively works in this direction.
In particular, in order to support and encourage young farmers in agricultural development and improve the well-being of the population, UzLiDeP and Council of farmers of Uzbekistan are conducting a contest “Young Farmer” among leaders and managers of farms from 18 to 35 years old.
Recently, Karakalpak stage of this contest was held. It was attended by activists and representatives of UzLiDeP council in Karakalpakstan and Council of farmers of Uzbekistan, MPs of regional councils of people’s deputies, young farmers, entrepreneurs and media.
The contest was held in three stages according to which the participants presented their projects, answered the questions, and demonstrated their knowledge and skills in public speaking.
According to the results, the first place won the head of fish-breeding farm “Kudiyar-Akhun” B.Adilchaev. Second place won the head of the livestock farming “Nasibulla” A.Naubetov, the third place won the head of the farm “Bekniyazov Kurbanbay” K.Bekniyazov.
Participants noted that such activity encourages young people to work harder, put forward their innovative ideas by showing their talent and skills.
The winners will participate in the republican stage, which will be held in December of this year.
