Uzbekistan claims 64th place in the world on GDP based on PPC

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan clinched the 64th place on the volume of gross domestic product based on purchasing power parity in 2014.
The World Bank issued a rating of countries on the volume of gross domestic product (GDP) based on purchasing power parity (PPP) for 2014. The rating includes 189 states.
According to the rating of the World Bank, Uzbekistan was on the 64th place on the size of the GDP based on PPP with the figure of US$171.416 billion.
In 2013, Uzbekistan was on the 66th place on the size of the GDP based on PPP with the figure of US$156.256 billion.
The World Bank also issued data on the volume of the economies of the world countries based on their GDPs in 2014.
In line with the date of the bank, Uzbekistan’s GDP made up US$62.644 billion and holds 73rd place in the world. Uzbekistan moved to 2 places up in the rating compared to 2013.
Gross national income (GNI) per capita made up US$2,090 in 2014, which grew by 11.29% compared to 2013 (US$1,878). Uzbekistan holds 159th place on this figure. GNI per capita based on purchasing power parity (PPP) made up US$5,840 (146th place in the world).
Purchasing power parity (PPP) is an economic theory and a technique used to determine the relative value of currencies, estimating the amount of adjustment needed on the exchange rate between countries in order for the exchange to be equivalent to (or on par with) each currency’s purchasing power.
