Rosselhoznadzor stops 65 tonnes of tinned fish, heading from Ukraine to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselhoznadzor) returned over 65 tonnes of tinned fish products to Ukraine, which was heading to Uzbekistan via Russian territory, the Department of the service in Bryansk and Smolensk region said.
The department said that 65 tonnes of tinned fish, produced by Vinnitskiy Zavod Upakovochniy izdeliy VINTAR, arrived in Bryansk-Lgovskiy railway customs post on 24 February.
The freight was heading to Uzbekistan. The cargo had veterinary certificates, issued by the State Veterinary Service of Ukraine.
The Russian officials revealed that Veterinary service of Uzbekistan did not give permission on importing of the goods. The Russian officials decided to return cargo to its sender in Ukraine.
