Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan introduced a threshold for unidentifiable transactions with jewelry, which was set at the size of 300 times of minimal salary (currently about US$13,700) from 1 October 2014.
Department of fighting with tax, currency crimes and legalization of criminal income under the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan introduced changes and amendments to the rules of internal control on combating legalization of income, received from criminal crimes, and financing of terrorisms for persons, who conduct transactions with precious metals and stones.

The measure should be conducted both for buyers and sellers of precious metals and stones, as well as current clients.
The persons, who carry out transactions with precious metals and stones, should strengthen measures of inspection if one of the sides of transaction live, stay or registered in the state, which is not part of international cooperation in fighting legalization of criminal income and fighting terrorism, or in offshore countries, as well as related to high risk category.
