Uzbekistan approves rules of heating of tenement houses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan with its resolution approved rules of rendering heating services at tenement houses on 15 July 2014.
The rules will regulate relations of heating organizations and consumers and are mandatory in all territory of Uzbekistan.
The document said that the suppliers should provide heading services to consumers in line with standards, sanitary norms and rules, as well as line with the agreement.
The rules set requirements to heating services such as temperature of heating in the rooms and requirements to hot water.
Gazeta.uz reported that the houses and flats should be equipped with meters. The meters should inspected once in two years for legal entities and once in four years for individuals.
The heating suppliers should warn population on planned interruption of services and changes to service terms via announcements, including via mass media.
The consumers should provide access to workers of suppliers to meters to check its condition and readings. The consumers obliged to pay for services in time. If the consumers fail to pay within three months, the suppliers can stop to render services to them.
