Jizzakh cement plant exports 70% of white cement

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jizzakh cement plant is exporting 70% of white cement abroad, the newspaper Narodnoye slovo reported.
The paper recalled that Jizzakh cement plant became the fifth and the most modern cement plant in Uzbekistan. Its designed capacity is 350,000 tonnes of white cement and 760,000 tonnes of portlandcement a year.
The plant is located near automobile and railway roads. The plant also has 1,400 meter of railroads inside. It also has trucks and special equipment, the paper added.
Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK) launched a plant on production of Portland cement and white cement in Zafarabad district of Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan in the end of March 2014.
The capacity of the plant makes up 350,000 tonnes of white cement and 760,000 tonnes of Portland cement a year. About 70% of products will be exported.
The project with the cost of US$114.2 million was financed due to loans of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan for US$74.2 million and own resources of AGMK – US$40 million.
In July 2012, AGMK signed an agreement with Dal Teknik Makina (Turkey) with the cost of US$97.6 million to develop working documentation of technologic part and supply equipment on “turnkey” basis for construction of the plant.
White cement is a material with unique characteristics, which allow to use it in various sectors of constriction. It can be used in façade of the buildings and paving slabs, etc.
