Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan moved five places up in new ‘Global Innovation Index’, which was prepared by International business school INSEAD (France).
According to new ranking, Uzbekistan holds the 128th place. Last year, Uzbekistan was on 133rd place in the ranking.
Switzerland is on the first place. Great Britain holds the second place, while Sweden was third. The United States are on the sixth place.
The Global Innovation Index is created by INSEAD, WIPO and Cornell University. It ranks 143 countries across 81 indicators. These countries produce 98.3% of global GDP and about 92.9% of population of the world live in these states.
Published annually since 2007, the Global Innovation Index is now a leading benchmarking tool for business executives, policy makers and others seeking insight into the state of innovation around the world. This year’s study benefits from the experience of its Knowledge Partners: the Confederation of Indian Industry, du and Huawei, as well as of an Advisory Board of 14 international experts.
