Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao has held talks with Ilgizar Sobirov, speaker of the Uzbek Supreme Assembly’s Senate [parliament’s upper house].
During the meeting, it was noted that the Chinese prime minister’s visit would serve to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, Uza.uz reports.
Wen Jiabao noted that he was a supporter of further strengthening friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.
During the talks, it was stressed that inter-parliamentary cooperation played an important role in strengthening the bilateral relations.
With this, the Chinese prime minister’s official visit to Uzbekistan has ended.
